CONGRATULATIONS to the 2008 Liberty Mutual National Firemark Award Winners!

No one takes on the responsibility of keeping our communities fire safe more than our nation's firefighters. Because of this tremendous commitment, Liberty Mutual Insurance is proud to present its National Firemark Award to firefighters who go above and beyond the call of duty.

The Liberty Mutual Firemark Award, which recognizes brave acts and dedication to community service and public education, was first introduced as a local honor in 1986. Today it also exists as a national award, recognizing two local winners annually who best represent their communities through valor and selfless spirit.

The 2008 Liberty Mutual National Firemark winners received their awards, which include $10,000 grants for their fire departments, at Firehouse World 2009 in San Diego, on February 17th, as part of the event's opening ceremonies.
