The NJ FMBA strives to continue to best represent its diverse membership. This committee is being formed to facilitate a more informed conversation and thoughtful strategy around diversity, equality and inclusion in the NJ FMBA and first responders in the State of New Jersey. The NJ FMBA with this committee pledges to seek out ways to continue to best represent all members in a proactive manner. Furthermore, this committee will address problematic policies and practices within emergency services that may unfairly treat and discriminate against our current and future members. This committee will advocate for policies, practices, and laws at the Local, State, and Federal levels to ensure all are equally represented and feel welcomed, connected, respected, trusted, treated fairly, and valued as part of the NJ FMBA and the New Jersey fire service.
