Funeral Arrangements for Newark Firefighters Augusto Acabou and Wayne Brooks, Jr.

Firefighter Augusto Acabou's viewing will take place Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street (off Clifton Avenue), Newark, NJ 07104. The Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 10am at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street (off Clifton Avenue), Newark, NJ 07104.

Firefighter Wayne Brooks, Jr's viewing will take place Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street (off Clifton Avenue), Newark, NJ 07104. The Funeral Mass will take place Friday, July 14, 2023 at 10am at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street (off Clifton Avenue), Newark, NJ 07104.

Elizabeth Local 9 member Warren White was released from the Burn Center today, July 7, at 2 pm and is home, on the road to recovery. 

Thank you to West Orange Locals 28 and 228 and the West Orange Fire Department for sending apparatus and to all the members from across the State who were there for Firefighter White's discharge.
