Lubin wins PFRS Pension Board Trustee Election!
On December 21st, 2018, Matt Lubin was joined by President Ed Donnelly, Executive VP Wayne Wolk, Secretary Rick Myers, Central District VP Tim Duetsch, and Cranford Fire Officers Delegate Leo Schafer; at the NJ Division of Pension and Benefits for the results of Active Fire Representative to the new Pension Board. The vendor announced that Matt Lubin won the election by nearly 500 votes.
"I am very proud of our union for understanding the importance of electing the right person to ensure that this new board will be capable of functioning properly top protect the rights of all active members and retirees." said Donnelly after the results were announced.
"I want to thank the membership of the NJ FMBA, and everyone who voted and supported me," said Lubin. "I look forward to working on behalf of all members as we move forward with the creation of this historic board."
The new board will be seated on February 1, 2019, following the election for the retired pension trustee, and the board will begin the work of creating the infrastructure in advance of the July 4, 2019 transition to the newly created board.
